Rio won the Mercedes Barrage in 1996 at Spruce Meadows, with many other wins in the international ring. Rio has also won several Hunter championships at many recognized circuit shows. Originally registered in the Westphalian Stud Book, and is now a Registered Canadian Sport Horse Stallion who is proudly offered at Stud. Rio is sire of several other Priddis View Farms horses including Rio Grand Eh?, Rio's Romeo, Rio's Port Royal (Sold in California), Rio's Starlight Express (Sold locally) , Rio's Rav-On (Sold in California), Rio's Valentino, Rio's Riverman, and Rio's Red Rhum (Sold locally).
